What we do
Most cost pages online give one price range with no source. We do it a different way.
We build our prices from public data. That means government pay data, published cost reports, store prices and town permit fees.
Every number links to its source. It also shows the date we checked it. If we can't find a source, we leave the number out and say so.
How pages are made
AI tools help us find data and write a first draft. Then we check every number against its source before the page goes live.
We never make up people, quotes, reviews or sample sizes.
Each cost page ends with "Sources & how we calculated this." It shows the math. It lists every number with its source and the date we checked it.
A computer check also runs on every page before search engines can list it. It blocks any number with no source. It also blocks pages that are thin or copy another page. Read our editorial policy and methodology to learn more.
Who runs this site
Home Repair Report is run by Bachi Media. Pages go out under the Home Repair Report name, with no personal byline.
We don't say that an expert, roofer or reviewer has checked our pages. Instead of asking you to trust a person, we show our sources and our math. That way you can check each number yourself.
What we are not
We are not roofers. We don't give quotes or expert advice. Our numbers are estimates from public sources.
Before you hire anyone, get written quotes from local licensed roofers. Then check their license with your state.
How we make money
Right now the site has no ads, no paid links and no quote forms.
Later we may show clearly marked ads, link to products we get paid for, or offer an optional form to ask for roofer quotes. None of that will change our numbers. Read our advertising and affiliate disclosure.
